So what happens after I send in my application and money?

  • Your application is reviewed by the CAAP testing coordinator to ensure everything is completed correctly. The testing coordinator forwards all reviewed applications to Professional Testing Corporation (PTC)in New York.
  • Once PTC reviews the applications, they send out letters to applicants stating whether or not their application has been accepted, by PTC, to take the test. '
  • If the application has been accepted, the letter includes a phone number and test ID number. The applicant then calls to arrange test date and location.
  • PTC sends this letter out approximately 2 weeks before the testing window.  The State of Colorado and CAAP have no input at this point, and cannot assign test dates or locations.

Applications for testing must be received by the deadline date posted above.

After you've taken the exam:

  1. PTC sends scores directly to each applicant, usually within 4 to 6 weeks after applicant sits for the exam.
  2. Applicants are responsible for keeping this information for their records.
  3. Applicants are responsible for providing their score verification as requested when submitting certification applications, etc.
  4. CAAP does not get a score verification form from PTC and is not responsible for replacing your score verification form in the event it is misplaced or damaged.
